About the Paintings
All the painting are executed on chunky grained 37 mm deep box edged canvases. A mixture of poly vinyl acetate, acrylic, alkyd resins and metallic paints are used in a series of glazes to build up depth and texture. Where extra depth is required acrylic texturing material, metal mesh etc. is applied prior to the paints. Salt, sugar and a blowlamp are also used to create unusual finishes.
